Built above the landmarked facades of the existing Coty and Rizzoli Buildings, 712 Fifth Avenue occupies a prominent address three blocks south of Central Park. Architects Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates chose to set the tower back slightly in deference to the historic facades below. They originally considered sloping the tower’s walls, but discovered that would limit the sizes of upper floors. The exterior of the tower features stone cladding and is articulated in the Postmodern style. The average floor size is 10,000 square feet.
Current tenants include CVC Capital Partners, Mannheim LLC and Vector Group Ltd. and Henri Bendel occupies the retail space at the ground level. The landlord offers pre-built office spaces. The building features 24/7 concierge service, high speed elevators, a modern HVAC system and communications technologies, as well as an elegant marble and granite lobby. Nearby transportation options include the F, N, Q and R trains.
