The visually striking office building at 1114 Avenue of the Americas near Bryant Park was completed in 1971. Its was designed by Gordon Bunshaft of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, and boasts a similarity with the Solow Building, another Bunshaft design. 

Located on the former site of Stern’s flagship department store and headquarters, the Grace Building overlooks Bryant Park and is strategically situated within walking distance to both Penn Station and Grand Central Terminal.

The office building at 1114 Avenue of the Americas features more than 1.5 million square feet of Class A, LEED Gold-certified Plaza District office space across 49 stories. The building is owned by The Swig Company and managed by Brookfield Properties, and includes 42,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space. 

The Grace Building was renovated in 2002 and 2014, and has earned LEED Gold, Energy Star and BOMA 360 certifications. Office floor plates within the building contain 40,000 square feet at the base, tapering to 25,000 square feet above the 14th floor. A 65,000-square-foot covered parking garage is also available, able to accommodate 188 cars.

Following renovations, the Midtown Manhattan building features a redesigned, art-curated lobby, as well as casual and fine dining options on-site, including Sweetgreen, Bluestone Lane, Joe & The Juice, and Michelin star recipient Gabriel Kreuther. A 30,000-square-foot outdoor plaza is open year-round, operated by Arts Brookfield.
